Suggested Itinerary: - Day 1 : Arrive in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia via the CAT ferriy from Portland or Bar Harbor, Maine. Drive the south shore "Lighthouse Route", visiting quaint fishing villages and historic towns. Overnight. - Day 2 : Continue along the shore towards Halifax, for a stop at Peggy's Cove to view the Lighthouse Post Office and shop the many handycrafts. Overnight in Halifax. - Day 3 : Take a tour of Halifax, Nova Scotia, one of Canada's oldest cities, by bus, sailboat or both! Sightsee, shop and sample the wonderful fine dining and live local music. Overnight in Halifax. - Day 4 : Head back along Nova Scotia's "Evangeline Trail" following the Bay of Fundy, home of the world's highest tides. Stop for a hike, whale watch or winery tour. Overnight. - Day 5 - Continue through the Annapolis Valley to catch the ferry in Yarmouth on your way back home. (Optional extra nights can be added anywhere along the route, depending on interest.
